Some new favorites! (revised)

I had to post these pictures because they are the cutest ones
ever! This is Tyler and I playing peek-a-boo after our
Easter egg hunt! He was laughing hysterically everytime the blanket fell off his head.

This one is Tyler after bath time with his crazy hair.

This last one, my favorite, was just the other night, BEFORE bathtime.
Lamar was getting Tyler ready for his bath, and turned his head for a
second. Just long enough for tyler to jump on his tractor and take
off. He loves his tractor, with and without clothes!

Now for some videos.

Peek-a-boo time! Tyler and I were playing after the egg hunt and peek-a-boo is always a hit. Not only do you get to hear his adorable little laugh, but you get to hear him talking too!

Here is Tyler playing in the junk mail and newspaper ads. We knew they would be good for something. My favorite part is when he SMACKS Lamar in the face! Turn your volume on because the sounds are as good as the action.
(Disclaimer: This video is over 3 minutes long. Sorry! But it was just too cute to stop recording.)

This is Tyler learning to do a forward roll. He is such a quick learner. We only showed him what to do about 4 times, then every time we said, "Tyler, do a forward roll", he would get down and put his head on the floor. I am so proud of my little gymnast!

Tyler has finally learned to stand on his own, so he is walking all the time now! He has learned that he can go wherever he wants and he doesn't need us to help him. Uh Oh! (My apologies for how boring and lame this video is. I had to post it for the grandparents! And sorry the video is sideways, I don't know how to fix that!)

My sweet boy playing outside after church. He wasn't really a fan of the photo session, but candid is always better than posed....right?

Easter Time!

I love Easter. I love what it respresents. I love that it brings family together, and I love the fun traditions that come along with it. This year was Tyler's first real Easter. We celebrated last year in Arlington, IN THE SNOW, but Tyler was so young and slept through most of it. Here is a little reminder.

But this year, Tyler had a blast! It all started when Aunt Mande totally SURPRISED me and came to Austin for a visit. She had told me she wasn't coming to hang out and I was completely bummed, but when Lamar and I returned from rehearsal Thursday night, there she was sitting on my couch. YIPEE!!!! I loved my fabulous surprise! Thank you Mande, and Lamar who was totally in on it, for my special Easter visit.
Anyways.....Mande came to visit and brought us all a fun Easter basket. Tyler loved the Easter grass more than anything. He later loved playing with the eggs as well, but the grass was a major hit! (Excuse the drool-I think my baby is teething again.)

On Saturday we went to the Riverbend Egg-stravaganza for Tyler's first Easter egg hunt. I wasn't really sure if he would even understand what to do, but boy was I wrong. My boy is so smart. Not only did he grab a couple of eggs and put them in his basket.....

but he went grocery shopping for me too! Along with the eggs were tons of bags of gold fish crackers....Tyler's all time favorite snack. Once he realized what they were, that's all he would grab. So he ended up with four Easter eggs and twelve bags of goldfish crackers in his basket. Good job T-Bone! You saved mommy a trip to the store.

Whirlwind trip to A-town.

Tyler and I took a last minute trip to Arlington during our Spring Break. I decided to go mainly because I wanted to see my team from Little while they were still in school, I miss them like crazy! But also because I wanted to see my friends...and Tyler missed Laney! So I packed us up late Sunday night, jumped in the car Monday morning and headed to Arlington. It was great to see my old team and all the staff at Little. They welcomed me back with open arms and lots of hugs....I love that school!

Kristin and I took every extra moment to get Tyler and Laney together for some play time.
Tyler immediately headed for Laney's Harley Tricycle and hopped on for a ride.

He headed straight for the ledge.....

drove right over it all by himself with no fear at all....

and turned the bike around to do it all over again!

After some fun on the bike, Tyler wanted to ride in the car. I can already tell that my son is going to have expensive hobbies when he gets older....I guess he needs to get a job!

Whenever Tyler picks up a phone he says, "Lo?".....which on a car walkie talkie thing translates into....."Breaker Breaker 1-9"

After his car ride, it was time for some bubbles. Oh how we all LOVE bubbles. Laney blew all the bubbles (and poured out the bubble solution) and Tyler just watched in awe! They are so cute together!

We had such a good time seeing our team at Little and playing with our friend Laney! We can't wait to see you guys again soon.
It was such a quick trip that we missed out on seeing alot of people. Sorry! But next time, guys, next time!

Too cute not to post!

Sometimes after bath, Tyler and I like to dance and sing a little before bed time. This night was no exception.

His hair has gotten crazy long.....I think it's time for ANOTHER trim!

Tyler's first day of school (March 3, 2008)

Since Tyler and I both started school on the same day, and I had to be there extra early, Lamar had to get Tyler ready. He got him dressed, fixed his hair, took some cute pictures and got him to school....almost on time. What a good daddy! Thanks babe!
This is his seal pose I think.

First time to see his classroom.

A sweet sign in his classroom, that is oh so true!

Meeting some new friends.

Tyler's teacher Mrs. Helen.....she is FABULOUS!

Baby Even is Here!

Ok....so he has been here for a couple of weeks now....but my blogging has been slow so get over it!
Nick and Sarah had their little baby boy, Evan, and he is oh so adorable. We got to go over and see them after they got home from the hospital and Tyler was very intrigued.

The cool thing about being around a new baby, is all the new toys! Tyler loved baby Evan's big, soft, octopus chair. He kept climbing up into it's lap and hugging it around the neck. It was so sweet to watch. Maybe we need one of those chairs....(hint hint grandparents!)
