Turkey Day!

We spent Thanksgiving in Arlington with the whole Stockton gang this year. Our drive to Arlington was pretty smooth, no major problems. Tyler was pretty content in his new big-boy car seat. He likes being able to see us when we are in the car now.

Not only did we get to see Topher, Leya and Drew, but an added bonus was that my sister joined us all day Wednesday. Mande and I went grocery shopping and did lot's of cooking for Thanksgiving this year, and if you know anything about Mande and me, you know how much we love recipes and cooking, so this was great fun for us. We made my grandmother's famous Italian dressing, my Aunt Jennie's yummy sweet potatoes and Paula Deen's delicious pumpkin-pecan pies. YUMMO!

We all went to LynnAnn's house Wednesday night to have panini's and pals. It was so much fun to have all our friends in one house, just hanging out and having fun. I cherish those moments.

On Thanksgiving Day we woke up and played with the babies. Drew and Tyler were so cute in their matching striped PJ's.

Beth pulled out some old toys of the boys from the attic, and Tyler played with every one of them.

When the food was all ready we fed Tyler an entire Thanksgiving feast. He gobbled every bit of it and ate leftovers the entire weekend. He has found some new favorite foods to say the least!

Friday and Saturday morning we hung out with Bill, Sandra, Jo, and Suzy. We watched the Mavs (we aren't going to talk about that though), played with some leggos and introduced Tyler to Bill's Aunt Holyce for the first time.

Our Thanksgiving break would have been perfect, if it weren't for the amazingly beautiful, vintage lamp Tyler broke at Lamars dad's house. I still feel horrible about that one. Sorry Sandra.

3 is better than 1....I guess!

We have a winner, well 3 winners actually. After almost 9 months of zero teeth, Tyler got 3 at one time. Tyler has 1 bottom tooth and 2 top teeth in. If you look closely at the second picture, you can see he is working on his second bottom tooth. And if you look at the last picture, you can see the snot running out of his nose (a result from his ear infection/cold). Sorry.

Sweet friend vs. Nasty friend

I caught your attention didn't I. Well let me explain. Tyler had a sweet friend visit this weekend and a very nasty one as well.

First of all, his sweet friend.....Miss Laney Xian Ting Lewis! Kristin and Todd came to visit this weekend and Laney and Tyler got to do a lot of playing together. They are going to be such good friends...I just know it. And if they happen to fall in love one day, I wouldn't mind that either. (And with all the kissing that was going on this weekend, love is a very good possibility!) Let's take a look at how their relationship progressed this weekend shall we......
First, the leary looks.....

Second, the hand holding....

Then, dinner and a movie....

Next, a little huggin'....

And finally, some sweet kisses....

They were so cute together. I just wish we could all be together more often!

But then....his NASTY FRIEND came to visit. His blasted ear infection is back! In the same ear too! There is nothing that makes a mom want to cuss more than when her baby is in pain and sick. Did you know an ear infection ALWAYS comes with a virus. It's like they are a team or something. You can't have an ear infection without a virus. THAT makes me want to cuss too! So not only does his ear hurt, but his nose is runny and he has a nasty croopy cough. YUCK! We saw the doctor today and got an antibiotic for his ear, so we should see happy days again soon. The one good thing about having a sick baby....is they are so cuddly and needy. I love when Tyler crawls up in my lap, puts his head on my chest, and just hangs out for a while. So sweet!

I got tagged!

Ok, so I am supposed to tell you 6 things about me. Here goes nothin.....

1. We are trying to 'Go Green'! Lamar and I have been buying energy saving light bulbs, we bought canvas grocery bags so we won't waste plastic ones, we only wash clothes if we have a completely full load, and we are calling this weekend to get recycling bins for our apartment. It's just a beginning! But try to 'Go Green' with us.

2. I am addicted to Dr. Pepper, but only fountain drink Dr. Pepper. It's just not as good when it's from a can or a bottle.

3. I have a new friend that I absolutely love and adore. Her name is Lindsey. She is always thinking of other people before herself, even when her health is not the best. She is positive, encouraging, freaking hilarious, and an amazing wife to her husband Nick. I thank God for sending me such a great friend. And who would have imagined...a girl from San Francisco, California and a girl from Whitehouse, Texas...with so much in common.

4. I love to cook! Being Italian, I don't really know how to "cook small", so most of the time I can feed an army with my meals. So there are alot of leftovers around our house! (FYI: The best cookbooks in the entire world are 'Quick Cooking' magazines. If you want to start cooking but you want it to be easy, start there.)

5. I think the sweetest word in the English language is "Mama"! I love hearing it and I love saying it.

6. I am SUPER competitive! If it's a game or competition....I hate losing. If I think I might lose...I start goofing off so it looks like I'm not trying to win. I want to be the best at everything I do and I push myself, sometimes too far, to be on top. I just don't like giving less than 100% and I feel like if you are going to do something....do it well and do it right!

Ok. So now it's my turn to tag you guys. Please do this....it's fun I swear. I tag: Kristin, Leya, Janelle, Melissa, Jessica, and Mande. (Mande....just post yours on my comments box....hahaha....that means you have to leave a comment. Love you!)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Our last day in Colorado, the whole Stockton crew went up to Bear Lake in Estes Park, Colorado. It was snowing, it was cold, and did I mention it was snowing? I wanted to get some great pictures of Tyler in this wintery wonderland, and boy did I!
Here is Tyler all bundled up and ready for the snow!

We climbed up some huge rocks to enjoy the view. God really is amazing!

I tried to teach Tyler how to catch a snowflake on his tongue, but he wasn't very impressed.

Daddy and son. There is nothing better than watching the two of them play together. I love them both so much.

It was also really great to see Lamar and Topher together with their babies. They really enjoyed spending time together and swapping stories.

I also got to show Tyler how to stick his feet in the snow and make a footprint.

When we we were driving to a new spot, we spotted some Elk. They were so close to our car but Leya and I got out of the car for an even closer look.

We take every opportunity to play peek-a-boo with Tyler, because it's his favorite game, and it's a sure fire way to make him laugh.

Bear Lake was beautiful, but it was freezing cold, and Tyler was getting a little uncomforable.

Tyler really was such a trooper in the cold, cold weather. We were such proud parents.
I usually only post "Tyler news" and pics of him, but I love these next two pictures. Not only was our vacation lots of fun for Tyler, but Lamar and I really enjoyed ourselves as well. I have such an amazing husband and he loves me so much. And trust me, the feeling is mutual. God was so sweet to put us together. Thank you Lord for the love of my life. You have blessed me beyond my wildest dreams!
