A beautiful wedding!

Saturday was the wedding. Tyler and I got all dressed up and met Lamar at the Stanley Hotel where Trent and Bethany were gettin' hitched! We took tons of pictures and then enjoyed a beautiful wedding. Bethany looked stunning and Trent cried the whole time she walked down the aisle. Sorry Trent...but you did! It was so sweet. After the wedding we sat and had a fabulous dinner and then we danced the night away....well....until 8:30pm. Gimme' a break...we had to put the kiddos to bed!
Trent and Bethany - thanks so much for letting us be a part of your special day. We feel so honored to share in the beginning of your lives together. Congratulations, good luck and we hope your honeymoon was everything you dreamed it would be. "Good things come to those who wait!"
There were so many good pictures I couldn't decide which ones to choose. So I chose them all and put them on a slideshow. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the festivities!

It's amazing how someone else's wedding can bring back memories of your own. I truly am married to the most amazing man in the world, and I am reminded of that every day. He makes me feel special, beautiful, and worthy of anything my heart desires. Thank you baby. I love you so much!

The wedding rehearsal.

One of our best friends was getting married in Estes Park, the main reason we took this vacation, and Lamar and Topher were both in the wedding. On Friday evening they had the rehearsal and dinner at the Stanley Hotel. For those of you who don't know the Stanley is where The Shining was filmed. A little spooky, but an absolutely gorgeous hotel. We really enjoyed seeing some of our old friends from Arlington, and it was even better to see Trent about to marry the love of his life, Bethany.

The rehearsal is always a little boring for those not involved, but Tyler found plenty of ways to entertain himself. He loved playing with the chairs.....

until he got stuck in between two of them!

On the way to the rehearsal dinner we saw a ton of elk hanging out on the side of the road. They walked directly up to our car and then crossed the road, like it was totally normal.

Trent's sister, Kelli, has two kiddos. Gavin and Libby. Gavin loved playing with Tyler and he was so gentle and sweet with him. It's a good thing too, because one day, Libby and Tyler will get married. This was the beginning of their crush.

My favorite part of the whole trip was getting to hang out with my "sister from another mister", Leya. We got to chit chat and just catch up on all that's been going on since we had babies. I miss my Leya!

It's a bird, it's a plane...it's a lot of posting!!!

Thursday morning, at 4:45am, our sweet friend Nick picked us up to go to the airport. We were on our way to our first family vacation. We were so excited and nervous at the same time. We had no idea what Tyler was going to do on an airplane, especially at 6:00 in the morning. We got to the airport, checked in, went through security, RAN to the terminal and boarded the airplane. We were very lucky to have a non-full flight and we got to sit in the front row, where there is a little extra room. Tyler immediately took a bottle on the take-off, to help his ears pop, and fell asleep in my lap. Once he woke up he was so interested in everything around him. He loved looking out the window. He had a blast walking on the floor in front of our seats. And he adored all the attention he got from the other passengers and the flight attendant. He is such a good flyer and we got tons of compliments on how well-behaved he was. We were such proud parents!!!

Once we got to the airport we had a long wait ahead of us. Uncle Topher, Aunt Leya and Baby Drew were meeting us at the airport so we could all share a rental car. We landed at 7:30am, but they did not arrive until 11:00am. Once again, Tyler was awesome! He was perfectly content playing on the luggage thingy and crawling around all over the floor. Who knew luggage could be so entertaining.

Once Topher, Leya and Drew arrived we hugged, bundled the kids up and headed to the car rental place. And oh yeah baby....we got a mini van. Cruisin' in the mini van...what's cooler than that? We finally made it to Estes Park, Colorado and checked into our little cabin. It was so cute and what an amazing view!

Lamar and Topher played a little game of "Tyler Toss" and Leya and I headed out for a "girls" dinner with the bride and friends. What a fun first day!

Hallelujah Hoedown!

Our church, Riverbend, had their annual Fall carnival a week ago. We decided to take Tyler to the festivities, even though we were leaving bright and early the next morning for Colorado. We had bought a monkey costume for Tyler to wear but it was soooo hot that I couldn't bear to make him wear it. This is what he WOULD have looked like if Texas had normal October weather.

But instead, we put his Mavs Jersey on and made him a basketball player. Lamar also wore some basketball clothes and I was the ref. You know...because I have to keep those guys in line.

Tyler got to talk to the Cookie Monster....

and pet some bunnies and goats.

We had tons of fun at the Hallelujah Hoedown and look forward to next year.

My little guy.

I realized today that I can't say "baby" anymore. Such a sad day. After lunch, Tyler and I were playing "chase" around the house. He crawled up the leg of the table and struck this adorable pose, (which I had no choice but to capture on film and share with you guys). As I looked at him, I realized he is not my baby anymore. He has such "little boy" characteristics and mannerisms now, that I must stop referring to him as a baby. So...ladies and gentlemen, may I now introduce to you....my LITTLE GUY!

Tyler's first pumpkin patch.

On Wednesday, the most beautiful day we have had in a long time, I took Tyler to a pumkin patch with his playgroup.
We played in the dirt, played in the hay, touched all the pumpkins, and even had a little picnic with our friends. The kids were so cute! Tyler wasn't too interested in posing for pictures, but he was absolutely loving the taste of each and every pumpkin. I wish I had more pictures of him licking the pumpkins, but I was too busy pulling stems out of his mouth. Enjoy!

His smile is back!

Despite a runny nose, Tyler is back to his normal self again. He is feeling so much better and I know it is because you guys were faithful in praying for him. Thank you! I love having my boy back!

Pray for our baby boy!

This has a been a really rough weekend for us, to say the least. If you have ever had a sick child, then you know that the worst feeling in the world is seeing your baby sick and in pain, and you can't do a thing about it.

I noticed Wednesday that Tyer had a bit of a runny nose but I didn't think anything of it at the time. Well, he continued to get worse and by Friday evening Tyler was not wanting to eat, he was extremely fussy and crying like he was in pain, and he had a fever of 102. We took him to the after hours clinic and the doctor said that Tyler had a middle ear infection and a cold. He prescribed us some medicine and we were on our way. Later that evening Tyler could not keep any food down, including the medicine. Not just a little spit up ya'll, I mean projectile vomit! And he would not stop crying. I called the clinic and the nurse finally called me back about 9:15pm. She said the best thing for Tyler was sleep. (Well, you try getting a baby to go to sleep without any food in his belly.) Tyler did finally fall asleep though, waking up only a couple times during the night.

We thought he was getting better, but Saturday afternoon his fever had spiked to 104.1. I called the doctor back and he said to take him to Dell Children's Hospital. We spent the entire day at the hospital and poor Tyler had to get an I.V. for blood work. After being in the hospital for 4 1/2 hours, the doctor said Tyler was okay. He just had a virus that was making his temperature spike up, an ear infection that was making him fussy and a cold that was making him vomit, but he would be fine.

So, here we are back at home, feeling helpless. Tyler still has a fever, he still won't eat solid food and all the liquids come right back up, and he is still crying in pain. So.....pray for us. Pray that Tyler will feel better soon....very soon. Pray that his fever will go away, that his nose will stop running, that his ear will stop hurting and that he will keep food in his tiny little belly. Pray for Lamar and I to know how to help him feel as comfortable as possible. Pray for rest for all of us, because it is much needed.

Thanks for your prayers.

Who me?

Tyler has a new favorite game to play. He sneaks into the bathroom, unrolls the toilet paper, and then tries to look all innocent when I catch him in the act. But honestly....who could be mad at a face this cute?
