You can now post your comments.
I am so sorry. I just figured out that I had my settings on "only people with blogs can post comments". I did not mean to do this. I have changed it so that EVERYONE can post comments now. So...if you are reading my blog and want to make comments...you are now able to do so. AND PLEASE DO! I love knowing that people are keeping up with our family.

A few of Tyler's favorite things.
If you have kept up with my blog, than you know that Tyler loves things such as bathtime, our dog Simon, swimming and mommy and daddy of course. Well, he now has some new loves in his life.
#1. PEEK-A-BOO! Tyler thinks it is so funny whenever you pop out from behind somewhere and say "Peek-a-boo". Whoever created this game was a genious.
#2. BASKETBALL! Now, when you say "basketball" please say it like Avery Johnson, or it's just not as funny. Tyler loves the basketball, or should I say, he loves LICKING and SLAPPING the basketball. Future MAV right here people!
#3. BITER BISCUITS! I think Tyler loves these not only because they taste good, but because mommy let's him feed himself and get as messy as he wants. It is so cute. (Mommy loves them because one biter biscuit will keep him entertained in his high chair for 20 minutes.)
#4. THE GUITAR! Tyler loves listening to Lamar play music. It is so sweet to watch them bond in this way.
#5. WALKING! Ok, so he isn't walking on his own yet, praise the Lord, but he is walking with help. Tyler will push this toy around the house and walk along with it. (He also dances to the music it plays.....so cute!) He will also pull up on anything and everything, and walk along side of it. He is growing up WAY to fast.

A visit from Aunt Mande and Uncle Ty
My sister and brother-n-law came to visit for ACL last weekend. Well, let me rephrase that. The boys went to ACL and Mande and I shopped! Does it get any better than that? We also went to hear Nate and Lamar play at Maria's Tacos on Thursday night and they did an amazing job.
Tyler loves watching and listening to his daddy play.
The weekend also gave Mande and me a great opportunity for some amazing pictures. America's Next Top Model.....you ain't got nuttin' on us!
All in all....it was a perfect weekend. We can't wait for them to come back and visit again soon.

My buddy, my buddy........
Do you remember that old commercial/song "My Buddy"? It went like this..."My buddy, my buddy, wherever I go, he goes. My buddy, my buddy, my buddy and me." Well anyways, this song was written for Tyler and Simon. They are so cute together. Tyler follows Simon around everywhere. Here is a really cute picute of the two of them and one of Tyler following Simon.

Labor Day Weekend
Our wonderful friends, Chad and Amber, invited us to the spend the weekend on the lake for Labor Day. We were so excited but a little nervous about bringing Tyler on a boat for the first time. I spent the morning searching for a tiny little life jacket and packing his bag for every situation that could arise. We met our friends at Johnny Finn's for lunch and then hopped on the boat. Tyler was so entertained watching the water behind the boat.
Tyler wasn't too fond of the life jacket because it swallowed him. Have you ever seen the movie "Little Giants", where the boy is wrapped head to toe in bubble wrap? Every time he moves he falls over and can't get back up. His arms and legs flail around but all he can do is roll back and forth. Well....that was Tyler. Too cute.
We anchored the boats and hung out for a while with our friends. Then Lamar watched T while I went tubing with the girls. Thanks Lamar. (Hopefully I will have some fun pictures of that soon.)
Tyler was pretty tired and a little fussy when I got back, so we had to go home. He fell asleep as soon as we headed back on the boat.
Sunday evening Lamar's mom came to visit. She babysat Tyler on Monday so that Lamar and I could go back to the lake and spend some relaxing time with friends. We got to tube together, do flips off a pier and enjoy a gross, expensive meal at Carlos-n-Charlies. Thanks Gramby, we really enjoyed our date!

China lost another good one.
Okay. So I posted a recent blog about some pretty exciting news that I had. Well as you saw from the title....my sister and brother-n-law are home from China! YAY! They are living in the Lewisville area for now and are praying about where they should live in the future. (I know that God told ME that they should live in Austin....but apparently He is waiting to tell them of this news.) I had the honor of going to their (temporary) home and greeting them when they got in from the airport. It was pretty amazing. I was so happy to see them both and I loved seeing them spend time with their nephew. I only took a few pictures because we were so busy and I kept forgetting my camera. But don't worry, they will be visiting us in Austin soon for ACL and I will get more pictures.
Here is one of Tyler with his Uncle Ty.
Tyler with his Aunt Mande
Tyler got to ride his first skate board. So see, I'm not just a poser.
It never fails. Mande and I were only together for a couple of days and I can't tell you how many people asked if we were twins. I guess it's partly because Mande actually has hair, and I cut mine, so it made us look even more alike.
