I got tagged!

Ok, so I am supposed to tell you 6 things about me. Here goes nothin.....

1. We are trying to 'Go Green'! Lamar and I have been buying energy saving light bulbs, we bought canvas grocery bags so we won't waste plastic ones, we only wash clothes if we have a completely full load, and we are calling this weekend to get recycling bins for our apartment. It's just a beginning! But try to 'Go Green' with us.

2. I am addicted to Dr. Pepper, but only fountain drink Dr. Pepper. It's just not as good when it's from a can or a bottle.

3. I have a new friend that I absolutely love and adore. Her name is Lindsey. She is always thinking of other people before herself, even when her health is not the best. She is positive, encouraging, freaking hilarious, and an amazing wife to her husband Nick. I thank God for sending me such a great friend. And who would have imagined...a girl from San Francisco, California and a girl from Whitehouse, Texas...with so much in common.

4. I love to cook! Being Italian, I don't really know how to "cook small", so most of the time I can feed an army with my meals. So there are alot of leftovers around our house! (FYI: The best cookbooks in the entire world are 'Quick Cooking' magazines. If you want to start cooking but you want it to be easy, start there.)

5. I think the sweetest word in the English language is "Mama"! I love hearing it and I love saying it.

6. I am SUPER competitive! If it's a game or competition....I hate losing. If I think I might lose...I start goofing off so it looks like I'm not trying to win. I want to be the best at everything I do and I push myself, sometimes too far, to be on top. I just don't like giving less than 100% and I feel like if you are going to do something....do it well and do it right!

Ok. So now it's my turn to tag you guys. Please do this....it's fun I swear. I tag: Kristin, Leya, Janelle, Melissa, Jessica, and Mande. (Mande....just post yours on my comments box....hahaha....that means you have to leave a comment. Love you!)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Our last day in Colorado, the whole Stockton crew went up to Bear Lake in Estes Park, Colorado. It was snowing, it was cold, and did I mention it was snowing? I wanted to get some great pictures of Tyler in this wintery wonderland, and boy did I!
Here is Tyler all bundled up and ready for the snow!

We climbed up some huge rocks to enjoy the view. God really is amazing!

I tried to teach Tyler how to catch a snowflake on his tongue, but he wasn't very impressed.

Daddy and son. There is nothing better than watching the two of them play together. I love them both so much.

It was also really great to see Lamar and Topher together with their babies. They really enjoyed spending time together and swapping stories.

I also got to show Tyler how to stick his feet in the snow and make a footprint.

When we we were driving to a new spot, we spotted some Elk. They were so close to our car but Leya and I got out of the car for an even closer look.

We take every opportunity to play peek-a-boo with Tyler, because it's his favorite game, and it's a sure fire way to make him laugh.

Bear Lake was beautiful, but it was freezing cold, and Tyler was getting a little uncomforable.

Tyler really was such a trooper in the cold, cold weather. We were such proud parents.
I usually only post "Tyler news" and pics of him, but I love these next two pictures. Not only was our vacation lots of fun for Tyler, but Lamar and I really enjoyed ourselves as well. I have such an amazing husband and he loves me so much. And trust me, the feeling is mutual. God was so sweet to put us together. Thank you Lord for the love of my life. You have blessed me beyond my wildest dreams!

A beautiful wedding!

Saturday was the wedding. Tyler and I got all dressed up and met Lamar at the Stanley Hotel where Trent and Bethany were gettin' hitched! We took tons of pictures and then enjoyed a beautiful wedding. Bethany looked stunning and Trent cried the whole time she walked down the aisle. Sorry Trent...but you did! It was so sweet. After the wedding we sat and had a fabulous dinner and then we danced the night away....well....until 8:30pm. Gimme' a break...we had to put the kiddos to bed!
Trent and Bethany - thanks so much for letting us be a part of your special day. We feel so honored to share in the beginning of your lives together. Congratulations, good luck and we hope your honeymoon was everything you dreamed it would be. "Good things come to those who wait!"
There were so many good pictures I couldn't decide which ones to choose. So I chose them all and put them on a slideshow. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the festivities!

It's amazing how someone else's wedding can bring back memories of your own. I truly am married to the most amazing man in the world, and I am reminded of that every day. He makes me feel special, beautiful, and worthy of anything my heart desires. Thank you baby. I love you so much!

The wedding rehearsal.

One of our best friends was getting married in Estes Park, the main reason we took this vacation, and Lamar and Topher were both in the wedding. On Friday evening they had the rehearsal and dinner at the Stanley Hotel. For those of you who don't know the Stanley is where The Shining was filmed. A little spooky, but an absolutely gorgeous hotel. We really enjoyed seeing some of our old friends from Arlington, and it was even better to see Trent about to marry the love of his life, Bethany.

The rehearsal is always a little boring for those not involved, but Tyler found plenty of ways to entertain himself. He loved playing with the chairs.....

until he got stuck in between two of them!

On the way to the rehearsal dinner we saw a ton of elk hanging out on the side of the road. They walked directly up to our car and then crossed the road, like it was totally normal.

Trent's sister, Kelli, has two kiddos. Gavin and Libby. Gavin loved playing with Tyler and he was so gentle and sweet with him. It's a good thing too, because one day, Libby and Tyler will get married. This was the beginning of their crush.

My favorite part of the whole trip was getting to hang out with my "sister from another mister", Leya. We got to chit chat and just catch up on all that's been going on since we had babies. I miss my Leya!

It's a bird, it's a plane...it's a lot of posting!!!

Thursday morning, at 4:45am, our sweet friend Nick picked us up to go to the airport. We were on our way to our first family vacation. We were so excited and nervous at the same time. We had no idea what Tyler was going to do on an airplane, especially at 6:00 in the morning. We got to the airport, checked in, went through security, RAN to the terminal and boarded the airplane. We were very lucky to have a non-full flight and we got to sit in the front row, where there is a little extra room. Tyler immediately took a bottle on the take-off, to help his ears pop, and fell asleep in my lap. Once he woke up he was so interested in everything around him. He loved looking out the window. He had a blast walking on the floor in front of our seats. And he adored all the attention he got from the other passengers and the flight attendant. He is such a good flyer and we got tons of compliments on how well-behaved he was. We were such proud parents!!!

Once we got to the airport we had a long wait ahead of us. Uncle Topher, Aunt Leya and Baby Drew were meeting us at the airport so we could all share a rental car. We landed at 7:30am, but they did not arrive until 11:00am. Once again, Tyler was awesome! He was perfectly content playing on the luggage thingy and crawling around all over the floor. Who knew luggage could be so entertaining.

Once Topher, Leya and Drew arrived we hugged, bundled the kids up and headed to the car rental place. And oh yeah baby....we got a mini van. Cruisin' in the mini van...what's cooler than that? We finally made it to Estes Park, Colorado and checked into our little cabin. It was so cute and what an amazing view!

Lamar and Topher played a little game of "Tyler Toss" and Leya and I headed out for a "girls" dinner with the bride and friends. What a fun first day!

Hallelujah Hoedown!

Our church, Riverbend, had their annual Fall carnival a week ago. We decided to take Tyler to the festivities, even though we were leaving bright and early the next morning for Colorado. We had bought a monkey costume for Tyler to wear but it was soooo hot that I couldn't bear to make him wear it. This is what he WOULD have looked like if Texas had normal October weather.

But instead, we put his Mavs Jersey on and made him a basketball player. Lamar also wore some basketball clothes and I was the ref. You know...because I have to keep those guys in line.

Tyler got to talk to the Cookie Monster....

and pet some bunnies and goats.

We had tons of fun at the Hallelujah Hoedown and look forward to next year.
